PAST COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

CBNH  has been focused on providing volunteers and financial support as well as planning services and raising community awareness for events and social engagement initiatives in downtown Oshawa including:

• 2018 Family Fun Day Downtown Oshawa
• Oshawa Rotary Christmas Luncheon Carolling
• The Back Door Mission ‘s Annual Holiday Luncheon
• The Annual Santa Claus Parade
• 2016 Holiday Gala at the Ontario Ministry of Finance
• Carolling in Downtown Oshawa
• Inaugural multicultural event of The CYCLE
• 2016 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
• 2016 Council Chamber Christmas Break session
• 2015 Pan Am Games in Oshawa
• 2015 The Refuge’s Durham Quarter Marathon in 2015 (Youth Outreach Centre)
• 2015 Oshawa’s Glow In The Dark City Event
• Gate 3:16 Outreach Centre For The Homeless
• Annual Canada Motorcycle Supershow

Other community engagement activities include

• Partnership with Downtown Oshawa Business Improvement Area to host the annual Kars on King, Bikes on Bond, BIA Wine Festival and Hot Roots Soup events
• Represented the broader Oshawa Community on the Oshawa BIA Working Groups
• Represented the community in producing the PLAN 20/Twenty as part of the Downtown Oshawa Revitalization Plan

Volunteered in other City & Organization Events:

• Sat on several of Oshawa’s BIA working groups
• Apart of the PLAN 20/ Twenty Group ( Oshawa’s Downtown Revitalization Plan )
